In paris with Dior Eyewear

Well, YES…. A dream of mine came true last week. I don’t stop looking at the photos taken in my camera, just to be sure “it really happened“.

Everyday I realize the enormous attraction that Dior exerts on the public. It is seen and considered that fashion itself is the most immediate, popular and widespread form of communication, and that as I said this maison has an infinite evocative power.

Safilo and Le Lunetier Milano invited me to the presentation of the new Dior eyewear collection at the headquarters on Avenue Montaigne. Just one word: WOW.
What can I say, they pampered me for 2 days. Let’s share something with you 🙂

Let’s start with the location, the welcome at the Plaza was unforgettable – the Plaza Athene is unforgettable. The mythical Parisian luxury hotel is famous for its Haussmann-style facade adorned with elegant red awnings overlooking the prestigious Avenue Montaigne. In 1947 Christian Dior settled with the first store to be close to the hotel, soon making the latter his second home. Avenue Montaigne became the high fashion street, with Plaza Athénée as its center.

Want to try and pretend to be a celebrity? Pop on a pair of one of these oversized sunglasses, and you might be able to succeed! The oversized specs that lead to this being one of the spring/ summer 2020 sunglasses trends were anything but typical.

Here massive square-lens glasses. Geometric lines and generous volumes so as to stand out for originality, charm and elegance. The colors are refined in nuanced tones, characterizing a refined and unique style. DIOR IS ALWAYS DIOR

In the evening we met in another wonderful location. Here, if you ask me “Carlotta, what is opulence for you?” I will show you these photos. Ah, the dress I wore is by Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini, while the shoes are by Bottega Veneta.

The next day we went in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, among the trees of the Bois de Boulogne. A huge and majestic steel sailing ship sails here: it is the Louis Vuitton Foundation, commissioned in 2001 by the homonymous fashion house and built by Canadian architect Frank Gehry, known for his unusual architectural works such as the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao.

The Louis Vuitton Foundation presents itself as a new symbol of modernity and a pole of contemporary art worldwide. The interior, with an area of eleven thousand square meters, is equally spectacular: in fact you can find an auditorium, 11 permanent galleries of contemporary art and large spaces for the creation of temporary exhibitions. If you are in Paris, go there, you won’t regret it!

And then we went back to the most beautiful hotel in the world, for the last meeting with Safilo. I could not finish everything better if not with one of the favorite sunglasses models of Dior, the Dior color quake 3. So fashionable!
